Bonjour à tous,
Depuis maintenant 2-3 jours, je suis dans l'impossibilité de surfer sur le web avec mon PowerBook G4.
Tant que je lance des pages 'simples', ça ne pose aucun problème. En revanche quand le contenu est riche (flash ou autre) alors là, rideau: Safari où FireFox se coupe.
J'ai essayé plusieurs reboot. J'ai débranché tout mes périphériques externes. Rien n'y fait.
Ma configuration:
PowerBook G4
1,5Ghz
1,5Go RAM
15"
Il y a de ça 3 ou 4 ans, mon PowerBook m'avait fait une jolie surprise en ne détectant plus l'une de mes barettes de RAM. Clairement, dans 'en savoir plus sur ce MAC' on ne voyait qu'une seule barette.
En faisant des tests croisés, ce n'était pas la RAM qui était en cause mais le SLOT. Problème connu... Mon Powerbook a subi un changement de carte mère aux frais d'Apple.
NB: Aujourd'hui, on voit bien les 1,5 Go de RAM sur ma machine. J'en déduit donc que les slots sont OK.
Mais, un 'test hardware' réalisé avec le CD d'installation me donne une erreur sur la RAM:
2MEM/3/4:SODIMM1/J25UPPER
C'est ma barette de 512Mo, livré d'origine avec la machine...
* Alors quoi faire? Changer la barette? (J'ai vu qu'on pouvait trouver des barette de 1Go à 50€)
* Je suppose fortement que le FLASH est l'élément déclencheur de la panne. Faut-il tester de 'trasher' les préférences? C'est quoi exactement cette manip?

il y a divers choses
l'affaire de la ram
et l'affaire des plantages
(peut etre lié...ou pas)
Quant à flash
la maniere propre de proceder est de le DÉsinsttaler via LEUR desinstalleur ( fourni ou chez adobe)
puis de reinstaller |

Précisions:
Il m'arrive souvent d'utiliser des softs de traitements sonores. Jamais eu de plantages intempestifs.
J'ai fait un essai de lancer Safari suite à un reboot (aucun autre appli chargée) et boom, ça plante dès que j'ouvre une page qui je pense doit comporter du flash ou autre..
J'ai fait la même manip mais cette fois ci en lançant beaucoup d'applis tout en surveillant ma consommation de RAM avec le moniteur. J'arrive à plus de la moitié sans pépin, mais dès que je lance Safari et que je vais sur un site avec du flash (même des pubs) ça me fait planter le truc.

Commence par nettoyer bien tes caches - il y a des chances que ça remette le fonctionnement de flash sur ses rails.
Pour ta barrette - il y a des chances qu'elle soit défectueuse - en inversant sa position et refaisant le test, l'erreur suit la barrette ou reste liée au slot ?

il y a des données flashplayeresques ajoutéess un peu partout et ceci à chaque video flash vue
( enfin quand je dis " vue" j''exagere,
souvent un son et " à coté " des images en saccades
j'en viens presque à regettrer flash 8 ou 9 !!
exemple : arte +7 est devenu un cauchemar unregardable depuis leur refonte
(ou le dernier flash ou les 2) |

J'ai vidé le cache de FireFox et de Safari...
...pareil, le problème est toujorus présent.
J'aimerai bien degager FlashPlayer pour voir si c'est lui le fautif...
Une idée sur comment procéder? |

uh ooohh !!!! 
Devinez quoi !?
Safari refonctionne, et FireFox itou pareil... Sauf que bien entendu maintenant que j'ai désinstallé FlashPlayer, certains sites ne s'affichent pas correctement. Et que donc je dois réinstaller le fameux "plug in manquant' alias flashplayer.
Je vais donc télécharger et installer la dernière version de Flash.
En espérant que ça ne me chamboulle pas tout à nouveau...
UPDATE:
J'ai rebooté le mac. Puis lancé FireFox, et notement une page MySpace qui nécessite le Flash.
FireFox me signale par un message en haut de la fenêtre de navigation que je peux chercher à installer le plug in manquant.
Je clique dessus. Une fenêtre de recherche d'éléments manquants s'ouvre, et poum...FireFox se ferme...Sans aucun message d'erreur, pas de crash reporter....rien... 
Je relance la même manip, et là FireFox m'indique que je peux télécharger Adobe Flash Player...
Ensuite, FireFox me signale que l'installation de Adobe Flash a echoué. et me propose de le faire manuellement (en clair il me dirige vers la page de download chez Adobe)
Je télécharge donc FP10. Puis, je l'installe.
Réouverture de FireFox, page myspace...tout semble OK...sauf qu'à la place du player de myspace, on me demande d'installer Flash Player ! Amusant...
Mais c'est pas la première fois que ça me fait ça...
Donc, je reboote (histoire de rafraichir un peu tout le monde suite à une installation).
Et là, tout à l'air de repartir du bon pied.
OUF !
ça m'aurait assez embêté de devoir chatouiller la RAM...et les slots... |

et les prochaines fois qu'un site te propose d'installer un plug ou un logiciel
en theorie légitime ..mais pas toujours
via une procédure dans le site
tu ne le fais pas
si vraiment necessité d'install
tu installes de ton coté via le site d developpeur de l'appli
ce genre d'offre d'install via un site est la voie favorite de certains sites pour tenter d'installer des saloperies sur ton ordi
pas la peine de tendre la joue

et en plus la detection de " version flash" par un site est un outil mal concu et tu auras encore des sites qui te diront " pas la bonne version" |

Je ne le fais jamais.
à chaque fois que je dois installer Flash (PC ou Mac) je passe par le site d'adobe.
Cela dit, même si ma possibilité de surf est revenue, j'ai eu un léger plantage hier... et je trouve que globalement Safari et FireFox sont un peu lent.
Ma RAM serait-elle tout de même HS?
A propos de plantage, depuis 1 mois environ impossible de lancer dans les widgets les applis : méteo et convertisseur (devise/longueur/etc).
ça plante systématiquement.
Quand j'essaye de les replacer dans l'espace 'widget', hé bien ça plante.
Je vais ouvrir un autre sujet pour ça, car on s'écarte du probleme de Safari/FireFox... |

Quelques semaines plus tard...
Safari et FireFox buggent à tour de rôle... Quand bien même je ne suis pas en plein surf. Exemple: J'ouvre une page web, je lis ce que j'ai à lire...puis je laisse le powerbook pour faire d'autre choses, je revient au bout d'une demie heure et Safari ou FireFox a planté. Bizarre...
Hier soir, FireFox m'a fait un truc bien strange: du multi-crashes, à chaque tentative de reboot: un crash. J'ai installé l'ancienne version de FireFox (3.6.7) et c'est reparti...aujourd'hui, la mise à jour vers la version 3.6.8 s'est implémenté, donc je suis à nouveau en 3.6.8.
Maintenant, c'est Safari qui refuse de se lancer. Le navigateur cherche à se lancer pendant quelques secondes puis il se ferme et j'ai droit à un rapport de plantage...
J'ai désinstallé Flash (ça m'avait sauvé la première fois...), mais rien n'y fait.
De plus, Firefox fonctionne...enfin je me comprend... il démarre quoi, et je peux surfer avec.

Pour info, je viens de lancer une vérification des autorisations... Et ça m'a trouvé des erreurs sur des autorisations pour le Flash, ainsi qu'un "private/var/log" et autre "user/SC/...".
Bref, j'ai lancé la réparation des autorisations puis ouvert Safari: pareil, plantage.

Peut etre un soucis plus profond dans ton système.
Je serais d'avis de faire un "archiver et installer" pour repartir sur une base saine.

La bonne nouvelle, c'est que j'ai réparé mon disque dur.
La mauvaise, c'est que Safari est toujours en merdouille...
ça merdouille au niveau de 'webkit'. Tout les sites qui n'embarquent pas de flash, video ou script: ça passe. Mais dès que il y a de la pub ou des fonctions spéciales alors c'est rideau.
Google ne passe pas par exemple, tout les sites d'actualité (bardés de pubs) itou.

ça va installer un nouvel OS 'par dessus' en gardant mes données, ou bien on passe par la case formatage?
EDIT: Je viens de télécharger Safari 4.1 (version que j'utilisais) et je l'ai installé sur le powerbook. Reboot, pui lancement de Safari et là: miracle !!!! Safari se lance !!!
Pourvu que ça dure...
Bon en tout cas, mon disque dur est réparé...et ça c'est bien cool. |
